About this site. ITK tracks how quickly named football insiders break news on X, and whether the stories they break first turn out to be real — judged against confirmation by established outlets (BBC Sport, Sky Sports News, ESPN FC). Every post is grouped by the underlying story ("topic"), so repeating the same claim five times never counts as five scoops.
How the ranking works. Reporters are ranked by a combined score weighted toward the confirmation rate (Speed 40% / Confirmation 60%). Speed: of the new stories you covered, how often were you first across the line? Confirmation rate: of the stories you broke first, how many were later reported by an established outlet (which is not the same as the deal completing)? Ties are broken by deleted-post ratio (lower is better), then average posts per topic (lower is better) — quality over noise, like goal difference in a league table.
Methodology & corrections. Every post is archived the moment it's seen; posts later deleted from X stay in the archive and stay scored. A visible correction/appeal process applies, since these scores concern real, named professionals. Only official outlet accounts count as confirmation, and no outlet can confirm a story broken by its own employee — a BBC reporter's scoop needs Sky or ESPN to pick it up.
